Tetraarylgermanes

Redistribution Reactions between Tetraalkyl- or Tetraarylgermanes and Germanium Tetrahalides... [Pg.232]

Tetraalkyl- and tetraarylgermanes containing bulky organic substituents could be synthesized only with difficulty, if at all, using Grignard reagents. In this case the reaction resulted in triorganylhalogermane181-183. [Pg.7]

Thirty-eight years after Winkler developed the organozinc method for the synthesis of tetraethylgermane, Dennis and Hance reproduced it, but this method for synthesis of aliphatic germanium derivative was not used later. However, in the years 1927-1935 arylzinc halides were used for the synthesis of tetraarylgermanes . [Pg.6]
