Terminator performance

Manataki, I.E. Zografos, K.G. 2010. Assessing airport terminal performance using a system dynamics model. [Pg.1730]

Bullet performance drives Barnes designs. Whether a Barnes bullet contains a lead core or not depends on the desired terminal performance. We have several lines of products manufactured from lead-free materials that were developed for their performance. These happen to meet the criteria set forth under the Condor Preservation Act, but we still manufacture the premium Original line of jacketed, lead-cored bullets. A lead ban would remove the very foundation on which our company was built. [Pg.143]

After an initial starting geometry has been generated and optimized (e.g., in a force field), the new conformation is compared with all the previously generated conformations, which are usually stored as a list of unique conformations. If a substantially different geometry is detected it is added to the list otherwise, it is rejected. Then a new initial structure is generated for the next iteration. Finally, a preset stop criterion, e.g., that a given number of loops has been performed or that no new conformations can be found, terminates the procedure. [Pg.105]

A line iniiniini/ation is performed along the conjugate direction hj until a minim lira is found that defines the next point, where the gradien t is re-evaluated as gj + ]. If the RMSgradierit is below the convergence threshold the procedure is terminated, otherwise ... [Pg.305]

After densiftcation, external electrode termination and leads are attached for MLC capacitor components, and pin module assembly and IC chip joining is carried out for MLC packages. The devices are then tested to ensure performance and overall reflabiUty. [Pg.313]

In practice, elimination of axial current flow requires relatively fine segmentation, eg, 1—2 cm, between electrodes, which means that a utihty-sized generator contains several hundred electrode pairs. Thus, one of the costs paid for the increased performance is the larger number of components and increased mechanical complexity compared to the two-terrninal Faraday generator. Another cost is incurred by the increased complexity of power collection, in that outputs from several hundred terminals at different potentials must be consoHdated into one set of terminals, either at an inverter or at the power grid. [Pg.416]

In electrolytic processes, the anode is the positive terminal through which electrons pass from the electrolyte. Anode design and selection of anode materials of constmction have traditionally been the result of an optimisation of anode cost and operating economics, in addition to being dependent on the requirements of the process. Most materials used in metal anode fabrication are characteristically expensive use has, however, been justified by enhanced performance and reduced operating cost. An additional consideration that has had increasing influence on selection of the appropriate anode is concern for the environment (see Electrochemical processing). [Pg.119]
