Tellurenic Acids and Derivatives

The following types of compounds are classified as tellurenic acids or tellurenic acid derivatives. These compounds contain divalent tellurium. 

R-Te-O-ClOj aryl tellurium perchlorate tellurenyl perchlorate 

The organo tellurium halides are the most investigated compounds among the tellurenic acid derivatives. 

Tellurenic acids have not yet been isolated. These compounds were postulated as intermediates in the thermal decomposition of alkyl aryl tellurium oxides .
