Teknisk ukeblad

Rosing founded not only three societies, but also two journals in the 1850s. In Norway, Polyteknisk Tidsskrift (the Polytechnic Journal), now called Teknisk ukeblad (the Technical weekly journal), is now the oldest journal of its kind in the world. In France he started a journal that in the 1860s became the Bulletin de la Societe chimique de France, see Chapter 5 by Fell and Rocke. [Pg.232]

Teknisk ukeblad contained from the start in 1854 many articles that can be listed as chemical, and many of them were written by Rosing. That continued after the Group of Chemists in the Polytechnical Society was founded in 1893. A special journal for chemical issues was discussed, and first realized in 1904 when Eivind Koren founded Pharmacia (Pharmacy), a journal for pharmacy and chemistry. The name of the journal changed many times. In the coming years the journal published reports from meetings in NKS and articles written by members of NKS.
