Tape removal systems

Significant errors will arise if gas purity is not accounted for. It should be noted that the code lays down no conditions for this, and a figure of 99 / or better should be targeted. In order to obtain a good purity at the start, all pipe joints should be taped and the system evacuated to a low vacuum several times with intermediated purging with the test gas to remove the residual contaminants. 

Removable Storage This option allows you to manage a backup tape drive or a ZIP-type removable disk drive with your system. It also is the place where you can go to check up on your CD-ROM or DVD drive, as they are also considered to be removable storage. 

Just before loading the system the tape that closed the outlet pocket was removed. At this stage the liquid is kept in the inlet cups by the atmospheric pressure at the opened outlet (Figure 11.4a). Once the MALDI sample plate with the integrated microchip enters the vacuum ionization chamber, the counterpressure from the outlet disappears and the air in both inlet pockets pushes the liquid through the microchannel towards the outlet pocket (Figure 11.4b).
