Taking over the Registry Number and Names

There are questions which cannot be answered without including both. Registry Numbers and substance names in the query. The following reasons may illustrate this  [Pg.185]

The search begins as a nomenclature search in the Registry File (Fig. 120). The command SELECT CHEM will write all the Registry Numbers and all entries in the Chemical Name (CN) field into a temporary memory. All such entries will receive an E-number, similar to the EXPAND command. [Pg.186]

In the case of crossfile searching combining the Registry File with another database, which does not contain Registry Numbers, the SELECT CHEM command must be replaced by the SELECT NAME command. [Pg.187]
