Taking non-Newtonian viscosity into consideration

There are a number of research studies, which have dealt with heat transfer in stirred tanks with non-Newtonian fluids. These were exclusively pseudoplastic liquids, whose viscosity obeys the power law (aqueous CMC, PAA and Carbopol solutions). 

These studies can be divided into two groups those, in which non-Newtonian liquids were mainly utilized in the experiments and which used the evaluation framework (see Section 1.5.2)

The non-uniformity in the definition of Nm and in usage of (K/Kw)eff and m should be recognized, in addition Jie is differently defined in the three studies mentioned. 

The second group of these studies is more extensive. It deals with different stirrer types under different installation conditions, and a helical coil is occasionally also used as a heat transfer surface. As examples the following studies are cited.
