Tack of Adhesives and Sealants

One property of interest in many applications is tack. Tack can he described as a measure of the ability of a system to instantaneously form a bond to a substrate using light contact pressure. [Pg.152]

Tack is dependent not only on the material properties but also on the bonded surface properties. Other influences include contact pressure, the duration of contact, the rate of separation of the surface, the mechanical stiffness of the system and the test environment [59]. [Pg.152]
