Table A. Wavelength-Sorted Data

Molecule code. The codes used are chosen for ease of recognition and arc usually self-explanatory. Explicit forms (e.g. CH2CHF) were preferred to more compressed ones (e.g. C2H3F ) A full list is given in Chapter 10. [Pg.51]

Pump code. These are usually self-explanatory. Only the regular CO2 laser transitions are given explicidy (e.g. 9P34, 10P08). Occasionally the pump transition is poorly identified — this is signified by for example 9P . Other codes are  [Pg.51]

In these cases the individual transitions are not identified. This leads to no ambiguity in practice. Of course in checking for doubly-listed lines (see Chapter 6) the individual transitions were taken into account. [Pg.51]

Reference - see Chapter 11. Only one reference is given per line, this being chosen in accordance with the priorities outlined in Chapter 6 above. In many cases the footnotes are used to indicate other relevant references. [Pg.51]

Footnote numbers, if applicable. The foomotes themselves can be found immediately after Table A. They tend to be specific to a particular line or a few lines - notes which apply to a whole paper are to be found along with the reference to that paper. Cases of possibly misidentified molecules or pump lines are indicated by the tags mm or pp respectively, where is an integer. A definition of these cases is given alongside the appropriate foomotes on p. 163. [Pg.52]
