T3 lysozyme

The muropeptides found after T7 and T3 lysozyme treatment cochromatograph with those described by Leutgeb and Schwarz, 1967- It has not been proven, however, that the cleavage products arc in fact identical. The parentheses ( lysozyme ) should stress that the type of lysozyme-like cleavage has not been examined further. But because the pattern is so different from the obtained with egg white or T4 lysozyme, it serves as a good characteristicum for comparing the in vivo and in vitro enzymes.
