CLOSED SYSTEMS UNDER POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE PRESSURE 

Reactions should never be performed in, or heat applied to, a closed-system unless it is designed and tested to withstand the expected pressure change. A pressurized apparatus should have an appropriate relief device.
