System layout

We illustrate a typical powerhouse generation and transmission system layout in Figure 13.21, and reproduce in Table 13.10 the typical fault levels of different transmission and distribution networks in practice for different voltage systems. [Pg.357]

A schematic of a PL system layout is shown in Figure 5. This optical system is very similar to that required for absorption, reflectance, modulated reflectance, and Raman scattering measurements. Many custom systems are designed to perform several of these techniques, simultaneously or with only small modifications. [Pg.383]

The water system layout should provide an adequate supply to all parts of the plant. Piping, pumps, tanks, alves, hj drants, and au.xiliao equipment should follow acceptable stanckirds. [Pg.486]

Mt. Wilson Observatory. The UnISIS excimer laser system is deployed on the 2.5 m telescope at Mt. Wilson Observatory (Thompson and Castle, 1992). A schematic of the system layout is shown in Fig. 11. The30W, 351 nm excimer laser is located in the coude room. The laser has a 20 ns pulse length, with a repetition rate of 167 or 333 Hz. The laser light is projected from the 2.5 m mirror and focused at 18 km. A fast gating scheme isolates the focused waist. A NGS is needed to guide a tip-tilt mirror. Even with relatively poor seeing, UnISIS has been able to correct a star to the diffraction limit. [Pg.222]

Figure 31.12 shows the theory of operation, a simple system layout, and the components of an SSD system. [Pg.1269]

Elastic Behavior. Stresses may be considered proportional to the total displacement strains in a piping system in which the strains are well-distributed and not excessive at any point (a balanced system). Layout of systems should aim for such a condition, which is assumed in flexibility analysis methods provided in this Code. [Pg.108]

A custom robotic system was developed to meet the design objectives. The peripherals accomplish four major LUOs reagent dehvery, sample grinding, centrifugation and sample pipetting. A schematic drawing of the system layout is shown in Fig. 6.7. [Pg.183]

Examples of system layout and method uses will be given. Additionally, data is presented as to the precision available in sample preparation using laboratory robotics. [Pg.149]

Understanding the dependence of film structure and morphology on system layout and process parameters is a core topic for the further development of ZnO technology. Work is being performed on in situ characterization of deposition processes. Growth processes are simulated using Direct Simulation Monte-Carlo (DSMC) techniques to simulate the gas flow and sputter kinetics simulation and Particle-ln-Cell Monte-Carlo (PICMC) techniques for the plasma simulation [132]. [Pg.228]
