Synthesis of labelled COF

COFj labelled with carbon-14 has been prepared by the following reaction sequence, from COj [103c]  

COFj labelled with fIuorine-18 (tj = 109.7 min) was prepared by the interaction of 8Fj with COFj [339]. 

C OF j has been prepared by combining C 0 with a slight excess of elemental fluorine at room temperature. An essentially complete conversion to the labelled carbonyl halide was obtained [1901],
