Synchronised delivery

Synchronised delivery how Nissan Motors UK receives vehicle seats... [Pg.149]

Call-off requirements does the customer (for example) alter schedules with no notice, require JIT delivery against specified time windows, or require synchronised deliveries of major subassemblies to the point of use ... [Pg.259]

Pulsating flows are beneficial with regard to segmented flow analysis, as the bubble additions are synchronised with the flow pulsation. In order to enhance the pulsating nature of the confluent stream of air to be added, some peristaltic pumps (including the widely used Technicon AAII) incorporate a lifting bar to successively pinch the air delivery tubing. [Pg.53]

Certain polymers, e.g., silicone may be formulated into implantable dosage forms, e.g., intravaginal rings or as medicated medical devices. Processing of these systems involves crosslinking of polydimethylsiloxane at an elevated temperature in the presence of a catalyst. Medicated intravaginal silicone drug delivery systems has been used clinically for several decades for contraceptive purposes and for the synchronisation of oestrus in farm animals (a.47, a.82). However more recently these systems have been reformulated for the treatment of symptoms of the menopause (a.82), for the controlled delivery of oxybutinin (for the treatment of urinary incontinence) (a.83) and for the delivery of nonoxynol-9 to prevent transmission of sexually transmitted diseases (a.84). [Pg.24]

Even though standard protocols, such as RADUIS [13] and Kerberos [14], are possible candidates to authorise such access, drawbacks in these protocols make them less suitable in this context. First, RADIUS already has known vulnerabilities [15]. It also suffers from scalability issues since each pair of RADIUS clients and servers must share a secret. Kerberos has other drawbacks. It requires synchronised clocks and the use of both a ticket-granting ticket and a service ticket is superfluous. Also, neither of these protocols easily support the delivery of security policies to the involved parties. We conclude that as adaptations are in any case needed, a protocol that is tailored for this context is better suited. [Pg.72]
