Susceptibility index

The model combines data on the organ systems affected, the prevalence in the subpopulations being compared of various other factors affecting those organ systems, and the severity of those effects to obtain a relative susceptibility index for each subpopulation. This permits the intercomparison of the relative susceptibilities of various populations. 

Traditionally, there have been many methods proposed to differentiate different types of asphalt, e.g. refinery processes, temperature, susceptibility index, plastic flow index, complex flow index, asphalt aging index, stiffness modulus, and so on. The information that these values can give us is only very rough, and the results for differentiating the types of asphalt is sometimes contradictory and ambiguous. Thus, determination of the type of asphdt generally requires confirmation from several different indexes.
