Survivor signals

The value of NRMS is illustrated by the differentiation of CH3CH2CH2NH2+ from CH2CH2CH2NH3+. A survivor signal at m/z 59 is present only in the former case, for which it is strong17. In contrast, the CID spectra of CH3CH2CH2NH2+ and CH2CH2CH2NH3+ are quite similar and dominated by formation of CH2=NH2+ at m/z 3017. [Pg.210]
