Strychnine sulfate

A complex formed between Na OsCy and strychnine sulfate was formulated as Os(N2C21H22 02)3390 but later reformulated as a strychninium salt (strychnineH)2[OsCl6].391,392 For other complexes of osmium with alkaloids see p. 587. [Pg.569]

Water was determined in several matrices in 1968. Solid samples were analyzed for hydrous and anhydrous forms of strychnine sulfate, sodium tartrate, and ammonium oxalate mixed with KCI and compressed into disks containing 100 mg KCI and 25 mg drug. [Pg.3435]

When crystals are noncentrosymmetric, the situation becomes more complicated because there are two possible phases angles that are derived for each reflection for data from one isomorphous pair. Strychnine sulfate also crystallizes with 6H20 (12.36% water). A mixture of the two hydrates contg 11.5% HjO is also marketed. [Pg.1396]

In another application, Sinsheimer and Poswalk [23] investigated the technique for the determination of water in several matrices. Solid-state samples were analyzed, in which hydrous and anhydrous forms of strychnine sulfate, sodium tartrate, and ammonium oxalate were mixed with KCl and compressed into disks containing 100 mg KCl and 25 mg of drug. In some samples, the water absorbance band at 1940 nm was clearly seen in the spectra of the hydrates. Quantitation of water in these samples was not successful. In other samples, differences in the spectra above 2100 nm were not explained. [Pg.587]
