Aplasmomycin from Streptomyces griseus

A new boron containing antibiotic, aplasmomycin (12), was obtained from a strain of Streptomyces griseus isolated from shallow sea sediment in Sagami Bay, Japan [43, 44]. [Pg.845]

The strain Streptomyces griseus has produced two other minor components, aplasmomycins B and C, under the cultural conditions described previously [48]. Recently, an aplasmomycin C-producing actinomycete was isolated from a sandy sediment sample in California [45]. [Pg.847]
