Strengthening bridging

These two ASCE manuals remain the best source for the structural use of plastics, although there have been many advances in applications since they were written fe.g., with the use of carbon fiber-bonded plates for strengthening bridges), but such applications can be traced through conference and journal papers. 

Another crucial aspect is the fact that it builds and strengthens bridges with law enforcement and first responders (LEFR). This aspect is very important, not just due to the highly effective cooperation that needs to be ensured between the PTO staff and the relevant authorities, but also because the risk assessment offers the LEFR the chance to familiarize themselves with the particular enviromnent of the PT networks - especially in the case of metro infrastmctures. These mutually supportive sessions of information and analysis offer the guarantee of an improved reaction and response by all stakeholders in the case of a security incident.

Within the NEXUS activity, aimed at strengthening the interaction of European industry and institutes in microsystems technology, user-supplier clubs (USC) are formed as one means for joint developments (for the USC for CAD tools see [240] for the MikroWebFab see [245]). This should serve to promote the industrial uptake, by bridging the gap also to new potential users.

In the dinuclear d10-d10 complex [AuNi(dppm)2(CNMe)2]Cl 346 a separation of 3.015 A was found between the metal centers bridged by dppm ligands, thus suggesting only week intramolecular Au-Ni interaction [489]. The supported Au-Ni interaction [2.8614(8) A] was considerably strengthened in the d8-d10 derivative [AuNi(dcpm)2(CN)2](C104) 347 [490].
