Storage tank connections to coalescer

For the simple system without recombiner, flashback arresters and filter, simply connect the coalescer to the tank. 

Other connectors to the tank could be used after installing the check valve in the tank. For instance, a DESO stem and body, and/or other type of quick disconnect will hold the pressure in the line and in the tank. These other connections make it possible to disengage the tank from the system to remove it and/or replace it with another tank.

The catalytic recombiner combines hydrogen and oxygen by catalytic action, which produces heat and water. Its purpose in this system is to further purify the hydrogen stream by removing any oxygen. 

This is not a necessary component for electrolyzer systems. Well-designed electrolyzers have their electrodes generously spaced to avoid mixing hydrogen and oxygen gas. When built properly, and with no malfunction present, a good electrolyzer will make extremely pure hydrogen.
