Stochastic theory long time limit

A qualitative interpretation of this fact can be given in the framework of the stochastic theory of barrierless transitions. The comparison of the observed decays of DMABN in n-butyl chloride with those at similar viscosity in propanol suggests that the relaxation can be ascribed to the long-time limit r" = lma)2, and that the nonexponential part related to r° is very fast and hidden by the convolution with the instrument response function. An increase of the valley frequency a> (driving force) is the most likely factor to decrease r" for the ester (and thus increase kBA).
