Stimulus Editor

The parts used for analog voltages and currents are called ISTIM and V5TIM and are located in the SOURCSTM.olb library  

Place the VSTIM part in your schematic with a resistor load  

Notice that the graphic has the attribute Implementations. When you create a waveform with the Stimulus Editor, you will give the waveform a name. The name specified with the Stimulus Editor will be specified in the schematic using the Implementations line. 

To create the waveform for the part, click the LEFT mouse button on the VSTIM graphic, 

We must now specify a name for the stimulus and select the type of waveform. In the Lite edition, only the sinusoidal waveform is available. Enter a name for the stimulus waveform and click the OK button. This name will appear on the Implementations line in the schematic

The Stimulus Editor window allows us to view the waveform. The SIN Attributes dialog box allows us to change the properties of the waveform. 

To view the waveform with the Stimulus Editor click theApply button ...

If you need to make further changes to the waveform, select Edit and then Attributes from the Stimulus Editor menus. The SIN Attributes dialog box will reappear ... 

To apply the waveform displayed in the Stimulus Editor window to the VI part in the schematic and return to the schematic, select File and then Exit from the Stimulus Editor menu bar ... 

Notice that the name of the stimulus, ImplBmentBtlOn = SllteWdVe, is now specified in the schematic. If you run a Transient Analysis and plot the voltage across Rl, the voltage will be the same as we saw in the Stimulus Editor. 

The user can create complex waveforms with the Stimulus Editor without knowing all of the parameters of a particular source. 

If you run a Transient Analysis, the waveforms atX, CLKl, and CLK2 will be the same as those seen on the Stimulus Editor window.

A calorimetric study of reaction with sodium or potassium hydroxides in ethanol or 2-propanol is given. For the first time section editors have been given the opportunity to include one-page editorial overviews of their sections among the objectives of these overviews are to highlight major new developments, emphasize common features in drug actions or disease etiologies or just to permit speculation as a stimulus for new ideas. While only one section editor chose to accept the invitation this year, it is hoped that more will do so in future volumes.
