Stibine triphenylphosphine

Polydentate olefin substitution has been studied mainly in Group VIB metal complexes. The compound Mo(CO)4(7r-CgHi2) undergoes substitution (87, 88) with l,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, 2,2 -dipyridyl, 1,10-phenanthroline, and triphenylphosphine, -arsine, and -stibine, producing Mo(CO)4L2 or Mo(CO)4D, where L and D are, respectively, the mono- and bidentate ligands. The reaction rate is described by the equation... [Pg.363]

The so-derived enthalpy of formation of gaseous triphenylarsine oxide, 261 18 kcalmol , just overlaps the value obtained from rotating bomb calorimetry, 227.6 +15.6 kJ mol . While related success arises in the comparison of the values for triphenylphosphine oxide we admit our discomfort with the large error bars accompanying all of these values. As such, while we derive an enthalpy of formation of triphenylstibine oxide using the static bomb results for stibine—and thus enter this value into Table 1—we regrettably consider it pointless even to compare the E—O bond enthalpies for the three triphenyl compounds. [Pg.163]

The complex serves as a useful intermediate for the preparation of other iridium(I) complexes, because the p-toluidine ligand can be readily displaced at room temperature by pyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline.2 An additional carbon monoxide ligand is replaced with triphenylphosphine, -arsine, and -stibine as well as with phosphites and ethylenebis[diphenylphosphine].2... [Pg.84]

This process has a high selectivity for N F bond and SF4 group in compound 67 does not undergo reduction under reaction conditions. The abihty of Al-fluoro amines selectively convert triphenyl- phospine, arsine, and stibine into the corresponding difluorides (reported in 1967 by Haszeldine group ) was utilized in an effective laboratory scale synthesis of imidoyl fluorides 81 and 83 involving the reaction of amines 30 and 31 with triphenylphosphine. ... [Pg.339]

Later, Hallam and Pauson prepared [Fe(CO)a- (CeHs) sP 2] by heating triphenylphosphine in an autoclave with an equimolecular amount of [Fe(CO)2CeH6]2 or [FeCl(CO)2C5H5], or by treating [Fel2(CO)j (C.Hs)aP ] with cyclopentadienylsodium in tetrahydrofuran. Recently, Cotton and Parish obtained the phosphine derivatives by heating triphenylphosphine and iron pentacarbonyl in a Carius tube. It has been found possible to prepare both mono- and diphosphine derivatives, as well as the corresponding arsines and stibines, much more simply by reaction in an appropriate solvent. ... [Pg.186]
