A number of a-,a -linked thienyl dicarboxylates and fused thienylcarboxylate-containing compounds have been found to show interesting emissive properties as have extended oligomers of the formula [M02CnPB)2(O2C(Th)3CO2]n [38,39], where TiPB = 2,4,6-triisopropylbenzoate. These molybdenum compounds show dual emission fluorescence is from the MLCT state and phosphorescence is from the MM88 state. Evidence for the latter comes from both the fact that unlike the solvent-dependent MLCT emission the MM88 state is solvent independent [Pg.50]
