STC ratings for wall constmctions vary from about STC-15 for simple lightweight constmctions to as high as STC-80 for heavy complex constmctions. Ratings for some wall constmctions are indicated in Table 5.

Most disputes take the form of strongly worded letters between the parties, with eventual threats of litigation or arbitration, very often in an attempt to cause a party to capitulate.
