Starlings plant volatile discrimination

Olfactory discrimination of plant volatiles by the European starling. Animal Behaviour 35,227-235. [Pg.446]

Clark, L. Mason, J.R. 1987. Olfactory discrimination of plant volatiles by the European Starling. Anim. Behav. 35, 227-235. [Pg.631]

Results. The data from each discrimination test were converted to suppression ratios (i.e., CS+ consumption/total consumption), and assessed using three-way analysis of variance (groups, plants, days). The results indicated that the Starlings could discriminate among volatiles from the plants (Fig. 5). [Pg.379]
