Standard Potential of Ag-AgCl Electrodes

E° is determined by an extrapolation technique to zero concentration (see Ives and Janz, 1961, Chapter I, Section E). Bates and Bower (1954) give the value of ° as a function of temperature over the range 0 -95°C as [Pg.94]

Even with very careful preparation of the electrodes, it is found that Ag-AgCl electrodes are initially unstable and that intraelectrode potentials occur. Stabilization can be accomplished by placing two electrodes in an [Pg.94]
