Poly(hydroxyphenyl maleimide)-b-PBA was added to thermosetting phenol resin to improve heat resistance [63]. PVC blended with poly(vinyl copolymer having cyclohexyl maleimide group)-b-PVC showed improved heat resistance and tensile strength with thermal stability during processing [64].

Compared with anthocyanins, the information available on stability of flavonols, flavanols and phenolic acids is limited. As these compounds until recently had only minor interests as food components, investigations were mostly performed for the purpose of biological screening and identification, less for studying stability during processing and storage. However, the mere definition of flavonoids and phenolic acids as antioxidants indicates that the compounds react easily and should be handled as unstable compounds.

Acrylic resins are the materials of choice for almost all dental applications wherever synthetic plastics are favored for the restoration of missing teeth or tooth structures. This is not surprising because polymers derived from methacrylate esters fulfill most requisites of a restorative adequate strength, resilience and abrasion resistance dimensional stability during processing and subsequent use translucency or transparency simulating the visual appearance of the oral tissue that it replaces satisfactory color stability after fabrication resistance to oral fluids, food or other substances with which it may come Into contact satisfactory tissue tolerance low toxicity, and ease of fabrication into a dental appliance.
