Stability contd

Marqueyrol s Stability Test. 200g samples of double-base powds were heated at 50° under vac in a round bottom Pyrex flask. Every 3—4 days, the vapors were pumped out, collected in, a gasometer over Hg and measured. The test was contd until the powd started to decomp very rapidiy, usually after 1800—2000 days. A curve was then plotted of cc of gas evolved vs days of heating, and the gas was analyzed for C02 and NO. If any liq formed, it was collected, measured and analyzed... [Pg.36]

Monooctyltin/ dioctyltin (contd) Rat DOT stabilizer mix (DOT(IOMA) MOT(IOMA) 80 20) Gestation days 6-15 at 0, 1,5, and 25 mg/kg body weight Marginal maternal toxicity marginal but significant embryo-fetal lethal effect LOAEL = 25 NOAEL = 5 Sobering AG (1991)... [Pg.31]

Russian propints were based on Pyrocollodion of Mendeleeff. They contd 1% of DPhA stabilizer and were in the form of tubes... [Pg.152]

Collodion Cotton and 1/3 NG with added vaseline (replaced later by Centralite). Beginning in 1910, the Societe Nobel of Avig-liona manufd C2, which was a variety of Brit Cordites but in the form of tubes. Italians manufd also Ballistite of high NG content which contd 0.5% of aniline as stabilizer (Ref 44, p 253)... [Pg.152]

Single base NC propints were used in rifles and in the shape of tubes in some cannons. As gelatinizer for such propint an ether-ale mixture was often used, and as stabilizer diphenyl-amine (DPhA). Some NC—NG proplnts, gelatinized by acetone, contd small amts of organic nitrates. As stabilizer they used DPhA and later Centralite or Acardite. They were surface-treated by Centralite or by aromatic nitrocompds. Such NC—NG proplnts were used in large caliber cannons (Ref 44, p 252)... [Pg.153]

Type 3 No 6 Mk 27 Rocket Bomb Model 1 was fin-stabilized, aircraft-launched, designed for use against formations of large enemy planes. It was cylindrical in shape with conical nose section which contd a Fuze, a Burster Charge and an Incendiary Shrapnel, consisting of WP (White Phosphorus) filled steel pellets. [Pg.496]
