Spontaneous Polarization Behavior of FLCPs Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Polymers

3 Spontaneous Polarization Behavior of FLCPs (Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Polymers) [Pg.218]

The influence of the polymer molecular weight on the spontaneous polarization has been studied for a polyacrylate [21] as well as for a polysiloxane series [18]. The conclusions are somewhat different. Polyacrylates V-11 (Table 3) show a decrease of their spontaneous polarization as their molecular weight increases (Fig. 13 a), whereas poly-siloxanes VII (Table 5) exhibit a little de- [Pg.218]

Further investigations seem necessary to clarify this point. [Pg.219]

Study of the variation of the spacer length in polyacrylates V-n has shown that the spontaneous polarization increases when the spacer is shortened [21]. This could be [Pg.219]
