Spontaneous ignition in supercritical fluids

5 PRODUCT DISTRIBUTIONS DURING HYDROCARBON OXIDATION AND THEIR KINETIC INTERPRETATION [Pg.594]

Much of experimental data on product analysis from alkane oxidation throughout the temperature range 500-900 K, prior to 1975, has been reviewed by Pollard [127]. Results obtained before 1965 are reported extensively by Shtern [125] and Minkoff and Tipper [126]. Sources of data published since 1975 are listed in the Appendix to this chapter. [Pg.594]

A distinction in the applicability of results must be made between isothermal and non-isothermal experimental investigations of hydrocarbon oxidation. Whilst the latter provide useful qualitative insight into variations in product distributions, they do not give satisfactory quantitative data, especially with regard to combustion during cool-flames. Product yields [Pg.594]
