Spectra of Some Coordinated Ligands

IR and Raman data were reported and assigned for (riLC4H4S)Cr(CO)3. [(r -C4H4S)Mn-(CO)3] and (r LC5D5)Re(CO)2[r (S)-C4H4S)]. The values for r[ S)-C4H4S and riLC4H4S were used in a normal coordinate analysis of the coordinated thiophene molecules.

The ferrocene derivative (12) has vPN modes at 1054 and 1251 cm . An IR band due to vCCC of the allene unit of (13) is seen near 1900 cm (14) shows vC = C at 2208 cm with a pyridine ring mode at 2203 cm The cumulene salt (15), where Fc = ferrocenyl, gives an intense IR band due to the vC stretch at 2099 cm-. 29 

The near-IR spectrum of liquid cyclohexadiene iron tricarbonyl gave assignments to vCH overtones of the non-equivalent ligand C-H bonds. ° For (16), where R = H, 3-Me or 4-OMe, vNH is near 3430 cm , and VasNH2 near 3380 cm
