Another new horizon is represented by tools that allow fusion or real-time matching of images coming from different phases of acquisition with the same technique, or from different imaging modalities. The accuracy of lesion localization can therefore be increased and the spatial correspondence of findings obtained with multiple techniques verified (Fig.5.12).
