6 SOME ADVANTAGES OF HPLC OVER OTHER TECHNIQUES 

One of the major advantage of HPLC is its abihty to handle compounds of limited thermal stability or volatility, therefore avoiding derivatisation procedures. The separation times are usually short, varying between 5 to 10 minutes for each run. Usually sample preparation is minimal.
