Solutions for the Density Gradient

The following methods are used for preparing the solutions with and without sucrose to obtain the density gradient, as well as the electrode solutions. This description refers to a 110-ml column of the type LKB 8100-10. [Pg.51]

Dense solution (110-ml column). Dilute of the total amount of carrier ampholytes chosen for the experiment to 42 ml with distilled water, and dissolve 28 g of sucrose in this solution. [Pg.51]

Fraction No. Dense solution Less dense solution  [Pg.52]

Place stirrer (9) and cone (11) into vessel (1) and (2) respectively. [Pg.52]
