Slurry primary cementing

To supplement a faulty primary cement job, cement slurries are also circulated behind the casing between two sets of perforations at the bottom and at the top of the desired interval. This is called remedial cementing. 

The engineering constraints related to a primary cementing operation are numerous. One can differentiate those that are linked to the placement process itself from those that are linked to the sealing material that is used, that is, cement slurries.
