Single-vibronic-level

If emission is from only one vibrational level of the upper electronic state it is referred to as single vibronic level fluorescence (or phosphorescence). [Pg.245]

Single vibronic level, or dispersed, fluorescence spectroscopy... [Pg.400]

For the case in which the electronic transition is much faster than vibrational relaxation, one has to use the single-vibronic level rate constant and in analyzing the transient absorption or stimulated emission spectra, the single-vibronic level absorption or stimulated emission coefficient should be used. For... [Pg.67]

Single-Vibronic-Level and Thermal Average Rate Constant. 142... [Pg.121]

There are three types of rate constants appearing in Section 3.3, i.e., Wba,aV, the state-to-state rate constant, (or Who), the single-vibronic-level... [Pg.143]

Only the single-vibronic-level rate constants for the displaced surfaces will be given in the following a more general case is presented in Appendix A. Notice that using the integral representation for the Lorentzian and... [Pg.144]

In the above discussion the single-vibronic-level and thermal average rate constants have only been calculated using the displaced oscillator surfaces. [Pg.146]

The laser-excited fluorescence from dibenzofuran in a biphenyl host at 4.2 K and three different sites in the lattice have been identified. The two-photon excitation spectrum of single crystals of carbazole at 4.2 K has been analysed in detail. Very extensive vibrationally unrelaxed fluorescence is observed following dye-laser excitation of single vibronic levels of naphthazanine and the rates and pathways of relaxation are examined by picosecond emission spectroscopy. The photophysics of rubrene peroxide have been measured for the first time by Bayrakceken. Picosecond fluorescence has been used to study the spectra and kinetics for Sj— So and Si transitions for... [Pg.14]

Using the former technique, the most significant result was the observation of quantum beats in the fluorescence decay of jet-cooled anthracene At low excess energies, the fluorescence and fluorescence excitation spectra of anthracene are very sharp, and the fluorescence decay of single vibronic levels is exponential. At an excess energy of 1400 cm however, clear quantum beats were seen, arising from the interference between the initially populated vibronic state, and a state produced... [Pg.105]
