Silica as-synthesized

In Figure 4.21, the FTIR spectra of the 70bs2 silica sample is reported [64], The FTIR study was carried out with a Bruker Tensor 27 spectrometer. During the analysis, 32 scans per spectrum were generated the resolution was 4 cm-1, and the range between 500 and 2000 cm-1 was analyzed. The silica as-synthesized powders were pressed with a Carver manual hydraulic press model 3912 in a mixture with KBr (4 mg of silica in 20 mg of KBr) under a pressure of 300 MPa for 15-20 s, to form wafers in order to make the analysis.
