The short-range order of dissolved cations like Fe +, Co +, Ni +, Mn +, Cr +, and Fe + have been examined with EXAFS but also with x-ray diffraction (XRD) and neutron scattering. The counterions were CF, NO3, and ClOl. Although these cations did not
