Shatterproof glass bottles

Here was a plastic bottle that was tough enough to withstand all that pressurized fizz but also safe enough to win approval from the FDA. It was as clear as glass but shatterproof and just a fraction of its weight. Its thin walls kept out oxygen that could spoil food contents while holding in that expensive carbon dioxide.
