Sen, J. and Chaudhuri, A. (2005) Gene transfer efficacies of novel cationic amphiphiles with alanine, /3-alanine, and serine headgroups a structure-activity investigation. Bioconjugate Chem., 16, 903-912. [Pg.104]

The phospholipid monolayers examined in this study were all saturated, symmetric, 1,2-diacyl-j -glycero-3-phosphate-based lipids. Four different lipid headgroups attached to the phosphate were examined choline, ethanolamine, glycerol and serine. Each lipid features a glycerol backbone, two saturated fatty acid chains and a phosphatidyl headgroup. [Pg.45]

Labeling of Tc to annexin, a small 36kDa endogenous protein that binds to phosphoserine headgroups in phosphatidyl serine with alfinity of ca 10 M, has been used to detect apoptosis in vivo in animal models of transplant... [Pg.5480]
