14 Separation and identification of Group II cations in the presence of molybdenum, gold, platinum, palladium, selenium, and tellurium 

The first step in this separation process is to separate cations into Groups IIA and IIB. 

and Te Transfer the Group II precipitate, which has been well washed with m NH4CI solution that has been saturated with H2S, to a porcelain dish, add 5-10 ml ammonium polysulphide solution, heat to 50-60°C and maintain at this temperature for 3-4 minutes with constant stirring.
