Senna formulations

The ingredients and their functions for two senna formulations are listed in Table A17.1. 

A 69-year-old man with Parkinson s disease developed severe dysphagia after taking granules of the bulk laxative Perdiem (82% psyllium and 18% senna formulated as granules). Disimpaction of the bezoar was performed via a rigid endoscope under general anaesthesia.
