Selling means giving the customer something that is of benefit to him/her 

Marketing is customer-oriented business management, i.e. the customer s satisfaction is the focal point of all marketing considerations. 

In essence there are two possible ways of bringing one s products to the customer  

The producer produces and delivers to the wholesaler. This is the usual approach, especially in conventional agricultural production. 

The second possible way of marketing is used mainly hy producers of organic farm produce.
