If P = I, this is the Gauss-Seidel method. If > I, it is overrelaxation if P < I it is underrelaxation. The value of may be chosen empirically, 0 < P < 2, but it can be selected theoretically tor simple problems hke this (Refs. 106 and 221). In particular, these equations can be programmed in a spreadsheet and solved using the iteration feature, provided the boundaries are all rectangular. 

Indomethacin was used traditionally, but its relative cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) selectivity theoretically increases its gastropathy risk. Thus other generic NSAIDs may be preferred. Adverse effects of NSAIDs include gastropathy (primarily peptic ulcers), renal dysfunction, and fluid retention. NSAIDs generally should be avoided in patients at risk for peptic ulcers, those taking warfarin, and those with renal insufficiency or uncontrolled hypertension or heart failure. 

Several theoretical studies have been devoted to the ground state structure of all-trans-1,3,5-hexatriene21,25,31 and all-fraws-l,3,5,7-octatetraene18,21,26,30,31,36. Tables 4 and 5 present the values of the CC bond lengths obtained in some selected theoretical calculations. 

The outcome of our treatment is a general method for selecting theoretically promising new initiators.

This chapter is oriented toward the nonspecialist. It tries to illustrate some standard experimental techniques and describe selected theoretical models used to interpret the observed magnetic data, along with their inherent limitations. Given the sheer complexity and diversity of magnetic phenomena of inorganic compounds, it is beyond the scope of this chapter to provide a complete overview. Instead, this chapter aims to highlight selected basic methods and models and, where reasonable, hands-on rules.

The mechanism of olefination can be deduced by consideration of orbital interactions to proceed via torquoselective olefination, rather than chelation control, for the following reasons (1) the sterically hindered siloxy and phenoxy groups are also effective for high -induction (2) in the presence of a crown ether, the selectivity still remains high and (3) an axially oriented siloxy group induces a high Z-selectivity. Theoretical calculations indicate that the transition state of inward rotation is stabilized by an orbital interaction between a(C-O) and ct (C-OR) (157) .

The measurements discussed so far are not restricted to a particular selected state. Bennewitz et al. (1969) report measurements on CsF with the j = 1, ntj = 0 or the j = 2, rnj = 0 state being selected. Theoretically those states with the highest preferential orientation should be selected. More practical are considerations of thermal occupation numbers and easy focusability. It is more difficult to produce a pure beam of molecules in higher rotational states because the Stark effect of neighbouring states differs less and consequently their discrimination involves more effort.
