Selection of the Core and Shell Materials

The most common wall materials include PVA, gelatin, soluble starch, and gum arabic. 

Soluble starch may act not only as the wall to encapsulate the core alone, but it may also form a film afler mixing with gum arabic. Microcapsules prepared from a mixture of PVA, gelatin and soluble starch possess a very hard wall after being soHdified by formaldehyde solution, but such microcapsules are too large to be co-deposited.
