Two sea bass species—the Japanese sea bass Lateolabrax japonicus (Cuvier) and the European bass Dicentrarchus labrax (Linnaeus) were brought for intentional introduction from desalinated waters of the Japan Sea. Both species are from time to time recorded in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. The European bass Dicentrarchus labrax is regularly caught in the Black Sea [79], although in small amounts. [Pg.394]
