Screening methods and emerging tools

The prepared reference materials were used in three different PT campaigns with the participation of European analytical laboratories involved in water monitoring, using not only classical methods but also the so-called screening methods and emerging tools, in spite of the different requirements of these latter methods (mainly compatibility of the matrix tested with the type of assay used and high sample volumes). Further developments would be nevertheless needed in this field.
