This all-aqueous clear concentrate is adaptable to roller and screen print equipment and can be run as an all water or an oil in water emulsion. [Pg.169]

The screen defines the pattern of the printed film and also regulates the amount of paste that is deposited. It is a very important part of the screen-printing equipment, and is essentially a stencil through which the paste is forced during the printing process. The most conunon type of screen consists of a frame, normally cast aluminum, onto which a finely woven mesh is stretched. [Pg.249]

The SPCE assembly (Fig. lb) [25] consisted of a carbon paste working electrode, a silver ink pseudo-reference electrode, and a silver ink auxiliary electrode and was fabricated using a typical screen-printing equipment. The SPCE modified with carboxylated SWCNTs (SWCNTs/SPCE) was prepared as described in [35]. [Pg.207]

Uses Cleaner for printing screens, printing equip., and general cleaning Features Does not contain toxic aromatic soivs. [Pg.1466]

Screen-printed electrodes consisted of a carbon conducting track with a terminal at one end for connection to the measuring equipment and a distal pad at the other, a layer containing cobalt phthalocyanine over the distal pad of the conducting track to facilitate electron transfer, an enzyme layer, where the enzyme inhibition takes place, over the cobalt phthalocyanine layer, and an insulation layer to prevent spurious reactions occurring down the length of the conducting tracks (Fig. 41.1). [Pg.1225]

Screen Printing Established technology and major ink for printed electronics today. Inexpensive capital equipment. Low price inks. Can be expensive due to amount of material required relative to yields. Mainly in RFID antennas and PV front electrodes. Feature resolution 75 microns. [Pg.231]

Relatively few applications can be found in this field that involve the coupling of microdialysis to biosensors, especially electrochemical ones. The major problem is always the need to exclude electrochemically active substances, which can be present in the external medimn, and, because of their low molecular weight, can easily cross the membrane of the microdialysis probe. Some attempts to overcome this problem have been reported by Csoregi [187], who coupled a microdialysis probe equipped with a polysulphone membrane with a 5000 Da cut-ofiF to a carbon paste electrode with wired GOD, thus excluding many interfering substances. Similarly, Rohm [188] has assembled a screen-printed biosensor for lactate based on an ultraviolet-polymerizable enzyme paste and then applied it in an FIA system for the on-hne monitoring of cell cultivation. [Pg.259]

In this example, the sensing layer, in the form of a thick porous film, is deposited by applying screen-printing technology onto a planar alumina substrate equipped with interdigitated Pt electrodes on its front, for the... [Pg.36]
