Up to 20 sarcophytols were isolated from the Sarcophyton genus with the name of sarcophytol from A to T (except sarcophytol L, including two sarcophytol T) (Figure 6-2). 

Many cembranoid diterpenoids have been isolated from corals. Sarcophytol-A (66), its acetate, sarcophytol-B (67), and sarcophytonin A (68) have been iso-lated from the soft coral Sarcophyton glaucum and some epoxycembranes (69) and (70) (sarcophine) were obtained from S. crassocaule.
